Equity in Health in a New Society How does one describe the modern knowledge society? Its implications for current human development, especially in the health field, constantly involve social and ethical issues. In the quest for an overall and humanly fair equity, the panels on the first day of CRICS V will discuss ideas and concepts that both raise new challenges and should point to a democratic diversity, rich in pathways and solutions. This exciting and unique set of invitations to reflection will take place beginning at 10:00 AM on April 25, right after the keynote address by Professor Pierre Lévy on the topic of Cyberdemocracy. Check the names of the speakers in what promises to be an unforgettable encounter. http://www.bvs.br/crics5/I/programa.htm
With the arrival of Internet and other new technologies,
knowledge managers have been forced to change their way of working.
Immersed in these modern times, how are information professionals developing
new relationships with their target public, the people searching for
knowledge or who simply want to be informed? Is the Web being properly
used in such a way as to guarantee equitable access? And what about
distance education? Is it really efficient? In short, what should be
the stance and degree of organization and updating among those who manage
all these valuable and indispensable data in the health field? These
and other questions will be on the table for discussion all day long
on April 27, leading the focus of the third plenary session at CRICS
V.
